24 hour digital footprint

When we were doing cybersmart with Mrs Buchanan we looked at our 24 hour digital footprint . We had to make a google drawing and then go on hour history then we checked what we were doing for the past few days then we go on google images then searched up logos like google doc logo and google drive logo.

Chromebook Celebration

On Thursday 26 May Room 10 had a Chromebook Celebration and everyone had a good time with their family. Our two Manaiakalani teachers Mrs Grant and Yayleen came to see our parents to help them to help us to use our kawa of care at home. Katrina and I had to read or write because we both didn't have a Chromebook. Mrs Buchanan bought a lot of healthy food and put it on a green table for afternoon tea. Then Pupuke, Julianne, Henry and Saluselo had a little munch on the healthy stuff. After school Mrs Buchanan kindly gave all of us a fruit stick and we all ate it on the way home.

Profile 2016!

Talofa lava, my name is Tyron. I am 9 years old and I am a year six student. My culture is Maori. My teacher's name is Mrs Buchanan.

My favourite subject at school is doing PE. My favourite sports are softball and soccer. I am also enjoying learning on the Chromebook. My top tip is Ctrl+tab. It takes you to the next tab.

I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. My favourite food is butter chicken on rice and my favourite fruit is pineapple. One day I would like to visit New York.

Water cycle

Saluselo and I were working on this water slideshow after reading an article about the water cycle in a Journal.   

My cress

We are learning about how plants grow and seed sprouts.
We grew cress and sprouted broad beans in class. We watched how water moves thought plants by putting celery in colourded water.
